Privacy Policy
PrepDeck is built so that it does not need to know anything about you. There is no account, no sign in and no analytics. This policy explains exactly what that means.
1.The short version
- No account. No email, no password, no sign up.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third party SDKs collecting anything.
- Your progress stays on your device, and in your own iCloud if you use an iPhone and iPad together.
- We have no server that stores anything about you, because we have no server.
2.What the app stores
The app keeps your progress on your device: which lessons you have finished and their scores, your XP, your streak, your chosen state, stage and goal, your practice exam results, and your settings.
If you choose "Other states" and type the state you are licensing in, that text is stored on your device only.
If you enter a name it is stored on your device only, so the app can greet you. It is never sent anywhere.
3.iCloud sync
On iPhone and iPad your progress is written to Apple’s key value store using the iCloud account you are already signed into, so the same progress appears on both devices.
This is your private iCloud storage. We cannot read it, and there is no shared database. If you are not signed into iCloud, or you turn iCloud off, the app simply keeps everything locally.
You can also save a progress file yourself and store it wherever you like. That file is created only when you ask for it.
4.Permissions
The app does not use your microphone, camera, location or contacts.
It asks for access to your photo library only if you choose to save an export of your progress there, and it never reads photos you already have.
5.Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
Whether you have Pro is checked on your device against Apple’s own record of your purchase. That check does not identify you to us.
6.Your control and deletion
Reset your progress at any time from the profile screen. That clears everything the app has stored on the device.
Deleting the app removes its local data. Anything in your iCloud is managed by you through your device settings.
7.Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
8.Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
